- Total fund: $12.5 billion over 13 years
- 3M pays $10.3 billion
- DuPont/Chemours pay $2.2 billion
- Covers PFAS testing and filtration for public water systems
Who Benefits
Any public water system that tests positive for PFAS above 4 parts per trillion can apply for funding. The EPA estimates over 6,000 water systems serving 100 million Americans are affected. Individual claims for health damages are separate and still pending.
